My name is Bruce and I am the owner and craftsman for our Mystic Timber tools. In the 60’s and 70’s I was a syndicated editorial cartoonist, producing four toons per week for over 350 North American newspapers under my pen name, jorgy. My work also appeared regularly in High Times magazine from September 1976 through June 1983. Going over them recently for an upcoming book project I was struck by how much has changed and particularly how much has not! Going forward, I’ll be revisiting a selection of them in this space, with commentary.

Published High Times, September 1980

From September 1980 HighTimes– Lobbying to overturn cannabis prohibition was already more than a decade old, and encountering the same mindless resistance we deal with today.
